1Ness Camp Membership

Keeping Black Marriages Together Forever

The 1Ness Camp is a group of North Carolina adult married couples with and without children who enjoy camping, fishing, hiking, swimming, biking, sightseeing, photography, networking, night stars, campfire, outside eating, grilling, boating, rafting, hot springs, summer, etc...


We usually camp in designated Forest Areas, State Parks, and local campgrounds within 30 minutes to 5 hours of Winston-Salem, NC. We usually start our camping season at the beginning of June and end our season in late August.  In the off-season, we enjoy holiday parties and may arrange marriage retreat trips and other activities.  We welcome men and women adult married couples.  Only members can attend a 1Ness Camp Marriage Retreat.

The full cost of membership and camp is $910 taxes and fees are not included.

Joining the 1Ness Camp

 

Dues

Dues are just $230 a year, paid through the 1Ness Camp Retreat event registration.  The 1Ness Camp calendar year starts in September. To join click on Join Now link to register for the upcoming retreat and camp to complete your membership application.

Camp Retreat Locations

We camp primarily in established campgrounds throughout North Carolina and occasionally across the East Coast.  Our members provide their own camping equipment.  Many of us have tents while others have RVs. Camping type (Tent or RV) may be limited. Camping spaces are always first come first served. The retreat fee has to be paid in full in order to attend a retreat. If not paid by the cut-off date, fees are non-refundable.

Camping Activities

On Saturdays, we have brunch for those who wish to join. Other activities may include self-instructed:

  • Hiking

  • Biking

  • Boating

  • Relaxing around your campsite

  • Shopping depends on the location

  • Group games

  • Individual couple games

  • Seminars, etc.

 

How to Join

You can join by filling out the membership form online.  You are allowed to join us on one camping trip before you join, with fees paid to attend.  Come to a meeting to get more information.
