Save Pearl
#GivingTuesday

Did you know that over 10.5 million children in the world either are orphaned or lost a primary caregiver due to COVID-19 through September 2022, according to a study published in mid-2022. Of the 10.5 million, 7.5 million – were orphaned while 3 million children lost a primary caregiver. This includes over 250,000 children in the United States with over 3,600 children in North Carolina experiencing COVID-19-associated orphanhood.

This is an issue that needs care now and because we care about this issue that has not gotten much attention, we must help the families who are currently supporting and caring for these children since the loss of their parents.

This year YAMM is giving gifts that give back to children (Pearl) in our community. We want to “Save Pearl” (orphaned children) this giving season. Save Pearl needs your help to have a great Christmas by taking some of the responsibility of caregivers this holiday. Commit to being kind to Save Pearl and give gifts that give back with what Save Pearl really needs this GivingTuesday to help their caregivers: the families who care for these children who lost parents or a primary caregiver during COVID-19 with Christmas a gift. Choose your gift below to assist the caregivers of children who lost their parents or a caregiver during the pandemic.
